As a safety precaution, Ninnekah Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 12, 2024. It is too risky to send large busses down narrow rural roads in our district. Enjoy a snow day!

Mrs. Destinee's Bus is running about ten minutes late this morning.

As a safety precaution for our students, staff and patrons, Ninnekah Schools will be virtual Monday, January 22, 2024. Stay safe!

Attendance Protocol for Ninnekah High School and Middle School Virtual Learning Days:
To be marked present for the day, students must log in and check in with their teachers. Failure to do so will result in being marked absent. There are two easy ways to check in - via Google Classroom or by sending an email. Once checked in, students will receive assignments for the day. These assignments will be scored in the same manner as an in-person day.

Ninnekah Public Schools will be virtual Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Ninnekah 6th grade Math students went grocery shopping in class last week! They have been learning how to calculate unit rate to compare items. Finding the unit rate on different sizes of containers allowed them to choose the best deal for their money! After choosing their items, they had to calculate the sales tax and their total grocery bill. NMS is creating smart consumers to be "Owls in Flight - Made for More!"

As winter weather approaches, please prepare a plan for students to have virtual days if needed. Monday, January 15th is a holiday and school is not in session. However, the weather appears to extend beyond Monday. In the event of a winter storm or excessively cold temperatures, the district may call for a virtual day. If busses can't navigate rural roads, or students would be in subzero temperatures at bus stops, a virtual day is a better option. Notification will be sent by the app, social media, and local news stations.
