Paraprofessional/Teacher's Aide | ||
Ninnekah Public School is looking for a reliable and student-centered Teacher’s Aide/Paraprofessional to enhance classroom instruction and assist teachers with daily activities. Additionally, this role includes serving as a PE Aide, supervising students, supporting activities, and assisting the PE teacher during classes. Responsibilities extend to being a bus monitor for specialized transportation. Key duties involve assisting teachers, providing individualized student support, supervising students across various school settings, supporting PE classes, setting up activities, monitoring safety, and helping with equipment. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive and encouraging environment for all students. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, paraprofessional certification (or willingness to test for one), with a preference for experience working with children. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to be active and outdoors for PE support. You must undergo a criminal background check, including a fingerprinting process through the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). This is required to ensure the safety of students and staff. This full-time position begins on January 5th, 2026. Requirements: High School Diploma is required. Background Check: You must undergo a criminal background check, including a fingerprinting process through the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). This is required to ensure the safety of students and staff. Non-Certified $75.00 per day Certified $90.00 per day | Job Responsibilities: Follow and implement the lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment Provide instruction and supervise students in accordance with school policies and procedures Take attendance and complete any required reports or documentation Communicate with school staff about any issues or concerns that arise during the day Ensure the classroom is left in an orderly condition at the end of the day Uphold school rules and reinforce appropriate student conduct Supervise students during non-instructional times as needed (e.g., lunch, recess, transitions) |
