Message from the Superintendent, Friday, September 18, 2020:

Ninnekah School has had a fourth grade student and a high school junior, from the same household, test positive for COVID-19. For confidentiality reasons no further information regarding their identity will be released. Contact tracing has been conducted and the virus was not traced back to anyone at the school. Any students who had direct contact with the individuals have been notified and are currently in quarantine.

The safety of all our students is our top priority. We are the last school in the county to have any positive cases and are proud that our district precautions have allowed us to go almost a nine weeks before having any positive cases. All buildings are sanitized frequently throughout the day and all desks, computers, and etc. are disinfected after each student use. We continue to practice social distancing, and encourage students and staff to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and wash their hands frequently.

We appreciate the efforts all our families are making to ensure the safety of our students. If you have any questions, please contact my office.

Sincerely,
Todd Bunch,
Superintendent
