Ninnekah Student Transfer Policy

Ninnekah Public Schools Transfer Students Information

Starting July 1, 2022 Senate Bill 783 made comprehensive reforms to Oklahoma's School Transfer Laws, namely revising the requirements for accepting and denying student transfers. The law also required public school districts to establish and list all grade level capacities.

Any student who does not reside within the boundaries of the Ninnekah Public School District must apply for a transfer in order to be considered for enrollment. Parents/Guardians of students who would like to be considered for a transfer must complete the printable transfer application on this page or complete the State Department of Education online transfer application at: http:/sde.ok.gov/student-transfers.

Any student who attended on an approved transfer request for the 22-23 SY does not need to fill out a new request for the 23-24 School Year. Your transfer follows you from year to year as long as you do not have any discipline issues and have had good attendance. If you were enrolled as a resident student but have moved out of district, you must apply for a transfer and it be approved before your student may be enrolled for the next school year. If this transfer is denied the Parent/Guardian will need to find another options for their student such as enrolling in their residing district, seek a transfer to another school district, enroll in an online option, or choose to homeschool their student.
